Getting My Alone Time (My dirty little secret)
It's a Saturday and everyone is at home. After a busy week I sure could use some alone time. My sure fire way is to pretend I am about to clean the house. Once my family sees me get out the cleaning products they run for the hills. Who wants to spend the weekend cleaning.
My husband thinks he is doing me a favor by taking our daughter out and staying out of my hair. Little do they know this is exactly what I want. After they leave I spray a little lemon Pledge here and there use a swifter and I am done in 20 minutes. Now I have at least an hour to do what ever I want.
When they come home they tell me how nice and fresh it smells and they think its clean. Everyone is happy.
How do you get your alone time?

Hi Glynis,
ReplyDeleteI love your sense of humor! That's funny about getting out the cleaning supplies. I know what you mean.
I'm one of your blogging buddies. Nice to meet you.
I get my alone time by getting up early or going to my office/music room and taking myself away by either listening to music or playing the piano. Another way is to stay home while the hubby takes the boys out. As much as I love them all, I relish my alone time.
Love your cleaning trick! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm following you now! :)
ReplyDeleteI do much the same as you. Other times I go out to do food shopping and take detour to some of my favourite shops on the way home.
